mark mccartmark mccartMark and Rosalind’s Story

On August 24, 2014, Mark Ryan McCart was involved in a fatal car accident.  He died upon impact.  Mark married Rosalind (Valdez) McCart on November 10, 2009.  Mark served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Afghanistan war.  At the time of his death, he was enrolled in college pursuing an accounting degree.

After being honorably discharged from the Marines, and during his transition to civilian life, there was a lapse in his life insurance coverage.  Because of the status as a war veteran, the family is asking for donations to defray with the cost associated for a proper burial.  Mark is being buried in his hometown which does not have a national cemetary, so all costs are being accrued by the family.

Military Mama’s Story

We were able to help raise $6000 in two weeks to help give this young Marine a burial reflecting his service to our country and his family’s love and desire honor his memory.  We will continue to honor Mark’s memory on our Honor Wall.  Rosalind has honored Mark’s memory, and is also healing.  Mark will never be forgotten by Rosalind but she has found a way to balance honoring his memory with feeling joy again.
